BISP Special Focus Program Overview
The BISP Special Focus in Education, Society and the Student is for visiting students who are interested in understanding how institutions in society and culture influence students and educational institutions. This may be of interest to students studying teacher education, special needs education, higher education, adult education, educational research, and other types of training and educational learning experiences.
Students pursuing this BISP Special Focus topic will learn about the connections between social, cultural, and behavioral factors and education institutions as well as key insights into how these factors impact students in different ways. Students will acquire a good foundation in understanding social inequalities and education disparities that exist throughout the world and how they affect various aspects of education.
