Spring 2021: BISP Goes Virtual

During Spring 2021, BISP has continued to provide unique virtual learning and programming opportunities for students near and far away. The University of California recently announced it is planning for primarily in-person instruction systemwide starting in Fall 2021. BISP will continue to share UC Berkeley's updated plans as students return for mostly in-person instruction while also monitoring the health and safety for the entire campus community. With this in mind, please note the information below is applicable to Spring 2021 BISP Goes Virtual students, although the BISP Certificate Program is available for all visiting students. There are currently no plans to offer a virtual program once we are back to mostly in-person instruction in Fall 2021.

Berkeley… From Anywhere

UC Berkeley has changed the way courses are delivered for the health and safety of our community, and Spring 2021’s remote format provides the rare opportunity to earn Berkeley academic credit from the comfort of home. Already-passionate instructors have expertly pivoted to virtual instruction, and traditional barriers to exploring Berkeley – costly travel, the visa process, full-time enrollment – do not apply.

In addition to world-renowned faculty, high-quality coursework and proven learning opportunities, BISP continues to offer students a robust virtual experience through the Cultural Peer Mentor program, academic advising, skill-building sessions, and more. We’ll have plenty of fun activities for all students such as fitness classes, photo contests, Cal trivia, virtual coffee hours, and personal and professional development. We invite you to engage fully in the vibrant Berkeley community. Experience Brilliance from anywhere in the world!
